Ice Cold

Chapter 16

Y/n, her father and her two best friends walked in the doctor's office to take the tight bandages and stitches off her closed wounds. She sat on the table as the doctor takes off her bandages. As the bandages come off, she moved her ankle. She smiled as she felt no pain. "I can finally walk and skate."

They paid the doctor and went to the mall again. F/n saw people that he knew when they were living in Japan. One stood out the most, Kenny Ackermann. He is Levi's uncle, very strict and arrogant to those who are around him. They all talked to him a bit, introducing Bertholdt and Reiner in the process. Nothing change to Kenny, he is still arrogant and stubborn. They parted ways but before that Kenny something to Y/n, "Levi did all this for you." before walking away and minding his own business. What a mysterious man.

"Where do you want to go next?" Reiner asked.

"Food." Y/n smiled.

They all agreed and walked to the food court. They ordered a lot of food and almost filled their entire table. As Y/n was bring their tray to their table, she saw Oluo. "Hey, Oluo." She smiled.

"Hello, Y/n. It's nice to see you here. You okay now from the fall?"

"Yeah. We actually got rid of the stitches and bandages today. Wanna join us on our table?"

"Sure. You got three seats available?"

"Yeah. Who's with you?"

"Levi and Petra. They're ordering some food. I'm grabbing some drinks."

"Okay, I'll meet you at our table. See you." Y/n walked to their table and made some space for the three skaters. "Oluo and the others are joining us." She smiled.

Soon Oluo, Levi and Petra came to the table. Everything is awkward because of what happened at the competition but to Y/n, it doesn't matter. She introduced her friends to her father and shared their food to them. They hang out after they ate. People took pictures and some asked for autographs.

They wanted to go to the park, so they did. F/n sat on a bench, relaxing and resting his feet to get rid of the aching feeling caused by the long walk. The skaters played like little kids at a playground.

Y/n climbed on the monkey bars and Bertholdt held onto one of the bars. "I'm too tall for all these things."

"Me too, Bertholdt." As Reiner held onto one of the bars as well.

"Let's go to that seesaw." Y/n let go of the bar and walked to the seesaws. She sat on one of the ends and Bertholdt on the other side while Reiner sat on the flatform on the middle of the two sides of the seesaws. They began talking while bertholdt and Y/n alternates to go up and down. Bertholdt saw Levi staring at Y/n, so he motioned Levi to take his spot and Levi nodded in return. Bertholdt stood up and got out of the seesaw. Y/n looked at Bertholdt confused, "Why are you leaving?"

"It's Levi's turn."

"Oh. Hi Levi." Y/n smiled at him as Bertholdt and Reiner talked to each other while walking away.

"Hey."

"You wanna talk about something?" She asked.

"Wanna hang out tomorrow? Maybe go skating since you're all healed up." Levi asked, looking at the handle of the seesaw.

"Sure. You want it to be the two of us? Last time I checked, it didn't end up well." Y/n chuckled.

"Y-yeah. Just the two of us." Levi said shyly.

"Aweee. You're stuttering, stop it." Y/n smiled. "It's too cute, for me." She giggled. Levi looked up at her and saw her smiling face, making him blush. "Now you're blushing." She giggled again.

Levi slapped himself physically and mentally. "Stop it. It's not funny!" He half yelled and half growled. Y/n smiled at him and just looked at him, waiting for him to speak. "We're going skating tomorrow. That's final." Them he crossed his arms over his chest.

"Can we join?!" Petra asked excitedly.

"No."

"Please?" She begged.

"No! Don't you understand?! It's for the two of us. ONLY US!" Petra's eyes widen at Levi's outburst.

"You're always here to ruin everything! I know what you did last time!! Don't make me start with everything you have ruined!!" He screamed. Y/n hopped off the seesaw and walked over to Levi. She started patting his back in a comforting way.

"Levi, It's okay... Don't make this thing worst."

"Don't even come close to Y/n!! You've already done enough!" Levi screamed for the last time at Petra's face before hopping off the seesaw and sitting on an empty bench. Y/n followed him and sat next to him.

"Levi...It's okay. I didn't mind the way she cheated to win, it happened once." Y/n said, patting Levi's back comfortingly.

"You don't even know her that well. She did it countless times. You wanna know everything?! She cheated seven times! She did it shamelessly, Y/n!!"

"When? Why didn't you report anything? That's unfair in any point of view."

"It started before the Nationals and continued to the Olympics. I don't even know why they haven't sued her for cheating."

"Why didn't you say anything?" She asked calmly.

"I don't care about her and I didn't want to get disqualified."

"But it's about her and representing the country. That is a disgrace to all who idolize her, I hope they don't copy her actions. You should have said something. Make it right, even if it got some really bad consequences, at least you know what is right."

"Sorry."

"No need to say sorry to me. Past is past, no one could change it."

Levi told Y/n everything he knew about Petra, spilling all the details to make the evidences stronger. Someone is going to be ban from all of the competitions in the future.

After all the drama, they all went home. Saying goodbyes to each other, except Petra, who was ashamed of herself and going home earlier than everyone.
