Ice Cold

Chapter 40

Y/n sat down on a bench as she panted. She just got off the ice and was exhausted from training. "Damn... this is harder than I expected." She took off her skates to rest her feet for a bit.

She was training for a competition with Eren, her coach, only on the phone. She stood up and walked to her phone that was attached to a tripod.

Canada and Japan's timezone are different, so it is a challenge for the her and her coach. Eren was coaching her early in the morning while Y/n was training at night.

She took her phone and said her farewell to Eren. Eren told her his and ended the call. Y/n sighed and put the tripod on her bag. She took her bag to the changing room to change out of her sweaty shirt. She decided to keep her pants since she'll be taking a quick shower later at their apartment.

She packed her things up and called Levi, who was picking her up after his training.

"Hey babe, I'm done training. Pick me up at the rink."

"Yeah, right. Bye."

"Thank you, Levi. See you later, bye." she said before ending the call and waiting outside the building.

"Hanji, I don't think this is a good idea." Levi said. "The last time she saw something like this, she freak the f*ck out."

"I'll back you up. Don't worry, shorty." Hanji smiled as she looked at her creation. "It's perfect."

Levi's phone rang and he quickly check who it is. It was Y/n so he answered quickly. "Hey."

"Hey babe, I'm done training. Pick me up at the rink."

"Yeah, right. Bye."

"Thank you, Levi. See you later, bye."

Levi put away his phone. "That's how you talk to her? She sound so sweet." Hanji smiled.

"She is." Levi examined Hanji's creation and cringe.

Levi opened the door of his car so Y/n can get in. "Hi Levi." Y/n leaned in and gave him a kiss on the cheek. As she did so, she smelled something odd. She took another snift of Levi's clothes and looked at him. "You smell different..." She stared at him and saw that he was wearing a scarf. Also he was not wearing his usual button up and cravat. "New style?"

"Yeah, trying out some new cologne and clothes." Levi answered.

She was humming to a song on the radio when she caught a glimpse of herself on a small camera. "What's with the camera?"

"For security purposes." He answered. They drove to a Mcdonald's drive thru to buy some late night dinner.

They ordered want they want before picking it up and going home.

Levi opened the door for Y/n as she was carrying the bag of food. She watched as Levi locked the door before continuing to walk to the living room, where she put the bag of food on the table. She scanned the apartment living room, squinting her eyes because something is quite suspicious.

"What are you doing?" Levi asked.

She took a deep breath, closing her eyes and focusing on the smell. She walked over to Levi and pulled him by the scarf, sniffing it a bit. "The air doesn't seem right. It smells like your scarf."

"I'm trying some new scented bleach and cleaner." Levi said, looking away.

"Scented bleach? Okay." She walked in their bedroom to take a quick shower.

She scrubbed her skin to get rid the smell of sweat. Once she was done, she got out and wrapped herself in a warm towel and got in her pajamas.

She was combing her hair in front of a mirror when she spotted a single lipstick on the sink. 'I must have forgot to put it back before I go to training.' She continued combing when she remembered that she was not wearing any make up earlier.
