209.As long as Lisa wants a divorce, she can leave at any time. (3)

Knowing that Jungkook wanted to go look for Lisa, Mother Jeon immediately had the butler come over and arranged for Jungkook's trip to City Nan.

Mother Jeon asked the butler repeatedly that he must keep a good eye on Jungkook. She even sent with him a few bodyguards.

When all was arranged, Mother Jeon said to Jungkook again, "The banquet is not until tomorrow. Kook, you should go to City Nan and surprise Kook."

Lisa's status was not the same as before and announcement would be made tomorrow at the banquet. From that point forward, everybody would know that Lisa was the Young Mistress of the Kim family.

Mother Jeon worried that Lisa would leave Jungkook.

For selfish reasons, she hoped that Lisa and Jungkook would stay together. She did not want to see the two of them separated.

Jungkook being there would be equivalent to stating that Lisa was his.

Thinking of that, Mother Jeon looked at her handsome but boring, cold, and quiet son. She only wished that she could rub him over his head and pass him some tips and hints on how to appease his wife. "All girls like to be praised and sweettalked. You need to learn to praise Lali."

Jungkook blinked. His eyes looking blank.

Mother Jeon had dreamed for years to be able to talk to her son that way that she was doing right now. Even if she was doing all the talking and her son was only listening to her. As long he wasn't staying there, alone in his shell, and would not listen to anything.

"Did you hear what Mom say?" Having said that, Mother Jeon looked carefully over at her son. She wasn't sure if he was listening to her.

Jungkook kept his head lowered. After a long while, right when Mother Jeon was about to feel disappointed, he nodded.

Tears filled Mother Jeon's eyes all of a sudden. She suddenly felt that her son was improving, getting better.

She didn't dare hope for too much but his being able to hear her and to give her a little bit of a response was already giving her great joy.

As Jungkook wanted to go look for Lisa in City Nan, he returned to his room and pack.

Mother Jeon wanted to help him pack but Jungkook didn't want her to.

Watching from one side, Mother Jeon shoved a book into his backpack.

Jungkook, who was folding his clothes, stopped what he was doing. He gave Mother Jeon a quick look, his lips pinched. He was somewhat unhappy about that. He did not want to bring a book with him.

"It's a look that will teach you how to appease Lali. Bring it with you and learn from it." Mother Jeon was full of smile. She had not stopped smiling since she learned that her son could hear her words.

Jungkook did not toss the book aside. He quietly zipped up his backpack.

"Let Uncle Li know if you need anything. He will be taking care of you on your way, okay?" Mother Jeon couldn't help but be naggy.

She couldn't in the past. After all, her son couldn't hear what she was saying. Things were different now. Now she could say what she wanted to her son.

Jungkook, with his red backpack on her back, lowered his head, his lips pinched shut. After a long while, he finally forced out a "Mm" from his throat.

Mother Jeon was so emotional that her eyes were filled with tears again. She wanted so badly to reach her hand out and rub her son over his head. What a docile son he was.

That night, after Lisa had finished preparing for the banquet the next day, she couldn't help but looked at her cellphone after her shower. She noticed that Jungkook hadn't reached out to her again since the video chat the other day.

He hadn't forgotten about her, had he?

Lisa glanced over at the time. Jungkook should have showered by this time.

She sent over a video chat invite.

There was no response for a long while. It was when Lisa was about to give up when the other side finally picked up.

A pair of pretty cherry-blossom eyes appeared in front of her and they even blinked.
