260.I know who pushed him in. (2)

Jungkook looked at her with his pitch-black eyes. After looking at her quietly for a few moments, he pinched his lips a little and said slowly, "Ugly you."

Odd Big Sister had gotten ugly.

Recalling that the old Jungkook had called her ugly a few times before she got her halo back, Lisa harrumphed and pinched him on his handsome cheeks where water was still dripping from. "I'm ugly now, so you don't like me anymore?"

Jungkook's eyes rolled in their sockets for a moment, and he eventually ended up looking in another direction. The tips of his ears were beet red under his black, wet hair. "I like you when you are ugly too."

Lisa knew Jungkook would not lie.

She smiled complacently at his reply. "Let's go. I'll bring you back to the hotel."

The sun was beating down on them, but Lisa was still worried that Jungkook would get ill. Thus, she hastened her steps some more.

The two attracted a lot of attention from the tourists on the streets. Not only because of their hurried steps but also because of their appearances. Even though Jungkook was completely drenched, he was still quite good looking. Lisa, although not exactly stunning after doing her makeup, drew attention as well because of her good looks.

Realizing that she only had 5 minutes left of materializing time, Lisa quickened her steps and walked toward the hotel with Jungkook in tow.

"Kook?" Mother and Father Jeon had taken their time to stroll around the resort together. Noticing that she had left something at the hotel, Mother Jeon was on her way back to get it from her room when she ran into her drenched son.

"What's the matter? Why are you all drenched?" Mother Jeon quickly walked up to her son and looked at him worriedly.

Lisa let go of Jungkook's hand before anyone noticed. It was great that she ran into Mother Jeon here. She was just wondering how she could locate her.

"Hi Aunty, are you the family of this Big Brother?" said Lisa.

"And you are?" Mother Jeon finally noticed that a young girl was standing next to her son.

"Big Brother was pushed into the lake by someone. He couldn't swim, so I saved him." Lisa took the opportunity to snitch on Mingyu.

"What? Kook was pushed into the water?" Mother Jeon was stunned. "What happened? Why was he pushed?"

Father Jeon's reaction was different from that of Mother Jeon's. He studied Lisa and asked, "You saved my son?"

Father Jeon's look was sharp, as though it could pierce through someone. Lisa met his eyes calmly and nodded.

Father Jeon narrowed his eyes and asked again, "If you were the one who saved him, why aren't you wet then?"

Mother Jeon looked over at Lisa. The girl was dry from head to toe, very different from Kook who was drenched.

Lisa was startled, but she didn't let it show. Father Jeon nailed it. She didn't even think about that one.

Lisa said naively, "I didn't go into the water. I only pulled Big Brother out of the lake from the shore."

Father Jeon continued to study her. "What kind of reward do you want for saving my son?"

Lisa quickly shook her head. "That won't be necessary. Anyone who was in my situation would have done the same."

The scrutinizing look in Father Jeon's eyes went away, while Mother Jeon looked at Lisa with appreciation. It would seem that they bought her story.

"You saved Kook. The Jeon family will thank you," said Mother Jeon emotionally. "You told me earlier that someone pushed Kook into the water. Did you see who it was? Who was it? Please tell who it is to Aunty."

Mother Jeon dared not imagine what it was like when her son was pushed into the water. He couldn't swim. He would have drowned if he wasn't saved in time.

The thought of it alone hurt her heart. She was both angry and also scared after the thought of someone trying to hurt her son.

"I thought Mingyu was with Kook. Where is he now? Who was it that wanted to harm Kook?" Mother Jeon was not calm anymore. Her mind was filled with questions.

Lisa nodded. "I saw the person who pushed Big Brother into the water."

"Who was it?" Both Father and Mother Jeon asked at the same time.

Lisa pointed at the disheveled and drenched Mingyu, who just walked inside the hotel.

"It was him."
