Jungkook was candid and cute. Lisa felt that she was falling more and more for him.

Especially when he was looking at her with his pitch-black eyes. Lisa felt that there was a little bunny in her chest that was bouncing around nonstop.

She couldn't help but reach out and pinch him on his cheek. Jungkook's skin was cold and fair. Its quality was incredibly good, and it felt nice to the touch. "What about your work?"

Jungkook let Lisa touch him on his cheek all she wanted. He blinked and then replied, "Worked, but still missed Lili."

Lili's heart skipped a beat. Oh boy. How was she supposed to resist this sweet, handsome man?

When they returned to the Jeon's, even though Mother Jeon had already listened to Taehyun catching her up on Jungkook's progress in the office today, she still cared about him and wanted to ask her son herself.

"Kook, did you get used to being in the office today?" Mother Jeon wasn't worried that her son would be bullied. He had an assistant there, after all. She worried more on whether he got used to the environment or was scared of being around the others.

Lisa was still worried that Jungkook would say something that would embarrass her. But her worries were unfounded because the next second, she heard Jungkook give a "Mmm" in response to Mother Jeon. And then that was it.

Mother Jeon was delighted when she received his response.

Mingyu smiled and started to talk. "It's a good thing that Little Brother is working in the office. He had gotten so much better compared to how he was in the past. Much like the experts had told us in the past, he is getting better and better."

Mingyu had come to the Lu's today because he had learned that Jungkook had gone to the office today. He wanted to find out what was going on.

Mother Jeon nodded happily. "He will respond back to me when I talk to him now."

A strange look crossed Mingyu's face, but he was still able to maintain a smile on his cold face. "That's great. You must let me know if you run into any troubles at work, Little Brother. I will help you take care of them right away."

He went on to say, "I'll let the others on the team know to look after you.

"Besides, Little Brother had just returned to the office and shouldn't take on too much work right away. He should take his time on adjusting and familiarizing himself. We shouldn't rush this."

Mingyu asked Mother Jeon, "Should I look for someone to take care of Kook and show him the ropes?"

Lisa narrowed her eyes. Ever since she had seen through Mingyu, no matter what he said now, she just found them fake. Mingyu was a wolf under a sheep's skin. He could be very good at disguising himself, but he could never hide that gloomy look in his eyes.

"That won't be necessary. Taehyun, Kook's former assistant, is pretty good. I had already talked to him and had him resume the role as Kook's assistant. At least Kook does not resist him."

"That's nice that he has an assistant that he is familiar with. That way, Little Brother would not need to take time to adapt to someone new." Mingyu looked a lot like a caring older brother. He would talk about Jungkook with Mother Jeon all the time.

Mother Jeon nodded repeatedly as Mingyu talked. Had Lisa not known better, even she would have fallen for Mingyu's act as a sincere, good Big Brother who cared a lot about his little brother Jungkook.

Lisa's eyes dimmed. The more perfect Mingyu's disguise was, the harder it was for her to reveal him. It would be tough to take care of him without real proof that could take him down with one shot.

Lisa suddenly felt that Jungkook had held onto her hand. His long and slender fingers intertwined with hers tightly, and he was looking at her quietly and blankly.

Lisa smiled. Mingyu was wicked like an old wolf, while her Jungkook was simple like an innocent puppy.

She needed to do her best to protect this little puppy, so he wouldn't be eaten by the big bad wolf.
