Collette's POV

A week has passed since I officially became Valentina's girlfriend.

On Saturday I drove home and the whole time I was driving i couldn't help but smile to myself and think that the prettiest woman I'd ever set my eyes on, who also happened to be a condescending bitch the first time I met her.

Is now my girlfriend.

Once I got home Colton was braiding Kinsley's hair in the kitchen when I walked in.

"Hello! How was yesterday's date?" Colton asked me as I entered the kitchen.

"Did you look like a princess again?" Kinsley asked excitedly.

I was practically smiling like an idiot as I walked to the table and sat down.

"I feel like you're up to something, you're smiling like an idiot." Colton said with a light laugh as I sat down.

"I'm not, I'm just...happy. More than happy I guess." I said.

"Did you look like a princess again?" Kinsley asked again.

"I felt like a princess last night." I said blushing slightly as I remembered the ferris wheel ride.

"Go on, tell us more." Colton urged as he finished kinsley's two braids.

"Wait! Bunny needs to hear this too." She jumped out of the chair and ran towards the play room to grab her stuffed toy.

"Okay now." She sat with a wide gappy smile on her face.

"Well, she's my girlfriend now." I blushed. And Colton did a 'woohoo' sound while Kinsley laughed at him.

"So when is she coming to dinner? I wanna get to know the girl who stole your heart." He said wiggling his eyebrows.

"Not anytime soon." I said with a light chuckle.

"What? You've been going on dates with this girl for three months, spending nights at her house and we don't get to have her over for dinner? Kiddo we hardly know anything about her." He said cheerfully.

"Okay well, she's amazing." I started out by saying. I then went on to say how sweet she was and list all the things I like about her. I talked about her for maybe twenty minutes before I ran out of breath.

"Now you know her." I said cheerfully.

"Yes, but what's her name? I know her favourite colour but not her name." Colton smiled.

"Oh," I paused for a moment. I could give away her first name but would that cause him to suspect that she's my, and his son's former, English teacher and the vice principal. "Val. Valentina." I said softly.

"See now I know her name, favourite colour, and coffee order. I feel like I know her already but dinner?" He said.

"Can she come after this weekend. I'm staying at Nala's house for the first time." Kinsley said with a wide smile and that took me by surprise.
