39: Training with the ninjas

I pack my things up then stuff them inside my bag, I made sure I have my extra clothes then zip it shut. I put my hair in a messy bun then fixed my shirt. I slip on my Jordans then Conor hugged me from behind "I had fun last night" he whispered, wrapping his hands tighter to me. I smiled then rubbed my neck, I stopped doing it so that the foundation won't wear off

"Glad you did, because I don't want it to be one sided" I said then he chuckled, I rubbed the back of his head and kissed him deeply. Let's say we had our first last night, and I don't regret anything

Conor would be going to Brazil right now for his BIG conference with Jose, while I'll be having the whole week with the Diaz. I spun around to hug him then he wrap his arms around me again "I'm going to miss you" I said then he nodded while his head is on my shoulder blade. This is going to be the longest time we've been apart to each other

"You can go and head first if you want, my flight will be on 9. Its 7 now and you need to go at Gracie's in an hour. I don't want you rushing" he said, he was just on his pants then I reach behind me to get his shirt and handed it to him "Thank you, love"

"Well, I'll be heading out first then, call me when you're going to board in so I know. Bye love" I said then kissed his lips. He kissed back and tried to deepen it but I backed away then chuckled "Not this time"

"Alright, alright. Go ahead, tell me if they did something to you" I nodded then shut the door behind me. I walked to my Lambo then put my bag on the passenger's side, I plug in my phone then start to drive to Gracie's

-- 30 MINUTES LATER --

"Hi, nice meeting you. Alpha Jade" I introduced myself to Nick and lend my hand out for a shake, I shook it and he nodded

"Nick Diaz, pleasure meeting you as well. My brother would be here anytime by now, he just woke up 10 minutes ago" he said then I followed him to the half-octagon. I put my bag on the bench beside it then remove my shoes

"Guessing, went to some bar last night?"

"You still remember the thing back then huh?" he said with a chuckle then motion me to go first, I bowed slightly then went in. The ones in here are the ones who are signed in other promotion brands, one example is Invicta. The others are world tournament competitors

"It's hard to forget about it, oh that's him" I said then he looked behind him and he also saw Nate, walking in with the hood of his sweats on and a bag. He nodded at us then sat down on the benches right beside my bag as me and Nick warm up

"Go with the kids, let's take turns" Nick ordered and he nodded. Nate went up to me first and we shook hands "Nate; Jade, Jade; Nate" Nick introduced us, I smiled at him then he did the same. I went back to Nick then he start me up with the jabs, he asked me a bunch of stuff about my style so that he know what to work in for

After 30 minutes, he and Nate traded spots "Hey, what are you guys up to know?" he asked then we tangle up

"We're on the takedowns now" I answered then we start off with the spotting. We move around then I saw his arms go loose so I took the chance and toss him, I went on top of him as he cover the side of his face and I just pretend to punch him. I move off him then he stood up "Now, how's that?"

"How much can you carry?"

"Around 315, so I can lift you and Conor at the same time" I answered then we start off again. While we were throwing air jabs, he signal me for a kick. I did a spinning heel kick; making sure I have distance towards him. He move back but I advance again towards him, I throw a right hook but he caught my arm and put me under his arm and look me in the Guillotine

I tapped slightly then he let go "You never get locked in the Guillotine?"

"Nah" I answered then I rolled backwards. We shook hands then he patted my back

"Let's take a break for 30 minutes" I nodded then basically run to the benches. I sat down and drink my water then Nate sat down beside my bag and wiped his sweat. My phone rang and I put it on speaker since it was just Dana

"Dana, what's up man?"

"Hey Jade, what's up with Russel? He's not answering my calls"

"I have no idea, I'll go to his apartment later on and check him out"

"You're with the Diaz right now, right?"

"Yeah, so why did you call?"

"Bad news Jade, bad news about your fight" I put my towel down then held the phone to my hands then Nate look at me "You still there, Jade?"

"I'm here. So what happened?"

"Holly got injured yesterday morning, she broke her ankle pretty bad and she was rushed to the hospital last night by her coach. I was just told last night as well, the doctors cleared her out to fight but Holly said it was twisted inside out and she can't do the fight"

"So she's backing out?" I asked in disbelief then shook my head "Am I going to be out the card now?"

"No, we're replacing your opponent. We dialed out some other people on the bantamweight but they don't want to take it. But someone accepted the challenge"

"Great, who?" I asked Dana straight forward then brush tiny bits of hair falling out of place

"At UFC194, you're fighting Ronda Rousey for the title"
