I didn't get to see Bailey until the end of the day. I was at my locker and heard Bailey yell goodbye to her friends as she ran over to me.

"Hi." she said cheerfully.

"Hey."

"Are you sure you don't want to hangout with me and my friends?" she asked leaning on the lockers.

"Yes Bailey. I rather not talk to anyone in this hellhole. You're the only exception." I say and start walking down the hall.

I needed to tell Adrian to stay with Owen. I know I can't do anything to stop it, but I need to try. There was no way I was going to ask Bailey to come over, I would never hear the end of it.

"Can you give me a ride home? Please." Bailey asked when we reached the parking lot.

"Fine." I say rolling my eyes.

We reached my bike and I handed her the helmet.

"You should really get another helmet." Bailey said putting it on.

"Why?"

"Because you need to wear a helmet too dummy."

"Why are you scared it's not like you'll die if we crash." I say.

"I'm scared because you could get hurt or die if someone decided to hit you." she said as we got on and she wrapped her arms around my waist.

"No one's going to hit me, relax." I said as I started the engine and left school.

We left the main town road and I sped up. I loved going fast, it made me feel free.

"What the hell Alex slow down!" Bailey yelled but it was muffled by the helmet. I ignored her and sped up.

I almost missed her drive way but luckily I made a sharp turn and neither of else fell off. I slowly drove down the driveway and parked behind Ricky's car. Bailey was still holding me tightly. I tried to turn around but couldn't.

"Bailey? Bailey? Are you ok?" I ask trying to turn around and look at her.

She finally let go of me and took off the helmet. She didn't look very happy.

"What the fuck Alex!? You could've died! What were you even thinking!?" she yelled getting off the bike. I stared at her, wiping the emotion of my face.

"Sorry. I wouldn't have died Bailey. If I turned too late the worst that would've happened would be that we crashed, that's all. Besides I've done way more dangerous stuff than a sharp turn." I say getting off as well and crossing my arms. I felt bad that I scared.

"Don't tell me that." Bailey said looking away.

I sigh internally and hug her, "I'm sorry Bailey."

She sighed, "It's fine. Let's go inside."

When I walked into the kitchen I was quickly swept off my feet.

"Ricky put me down right now you piece of trash." I say trying to sound threatening.

"Or what?"

"I'll make you regret you ever existed."

"Put her down Ricky." Bailey said chuckling and I glared at her.

Ricky set me down and I searched the room for Adrian. He was standing in the corner watching us looking amused. I walk over to him.

"Where's Owen?"

"Uh probably at his house, why?" Adrain replied looking confused.

"You should invite him over."

"Uh ok?" he said still looking very confused and pulled out his phone.

When I turned back around Bailey was looking at me and Adrian with a hint of jealousy. Ricky saw it too and immediacy smirked.

"Is someone jealous?" he said laughing.

"Shut it you pig."

"She is jealous. Oooo. Someone's got it bad." Ricky teased.

"Shut it before I beat your ass." Bailey said scowling at him.

"Bailey's jelly." Ricky sang and the next thing I know they're on the ground wrestling.

Bailey put him in a headlock and said "Shut up now."

"Yes ma'm. Now let me go." Ricky said trying to contain his laughter. Bailey rolled her eyes and released Ricky from the headlock.

I turned to Adrian who watching the show with an amused look on his face. "Is Owen coming over?" I ask quietly.

Adrian glanced down at me, "Yeah he's driving over now. Why do you want him to come over?"

"It's not important." I reply, "Bailey can I use your bathroom?"

"Sure, second door on the right."

As I walked down the hallway I almost ran into Peter and Andrew who were coming out of a room. Peter and Andrew's hair and clothes were a little messed up and their lips were swollen. But before I could study them they were gone. Interesting.

When I entered the kitchen I saw Owen and Adrian talking. Good. But it's not going to last he's going to go home and then go out one night and get killed. I walk over to Adrian and try to whisper in his ear but he was too tall so instead I pulled him down to my level.

"Keep an eye on your friend ok? I wouldn't let him go out alone for the next two days." I whisper and then let go of him.

"Alex what are you talking about?"

"I have a feeling. Trust me." I whisper back and then step away from him. Bailey was looking at me suspiciously but I just ignored her glances.

"Well my friends it's been fun but I have to go." I say sarcastically and start walking to the door.

"What? Alex where are you going? You just got here." Ricky called.

"None of your business." I say and close the door behind me.

I couldn't help but get hope that I might be able to stop Owen's death. I know I've tried to stop deaths before but I couldn't help but think maybe this time it's different.

I sigh and look down at my hands.

"Are you ok?"

I spun around quickly and saw Bailey smiling softly at me.

"You left suddenly."

"Yeah." I say staring at her. The sunlight was hitting her just right and she looked gorgeous.

She stared back at me then suddenly was right in front of me.

"You got to stop doing that." I whisper. She gave me a small smile and our lips connected.

She pulled away and held me close. I closed my eyes and wished that I could stay I her arms forever.
