That night on her break at the café, Sam once again sat at the table in the back room, her school books opened all around her, trying to study for a pharmacology quiz she would be having early next week when her cell phone rang beside her. Putting a sticky note to mark her page she picked up her phone and smiled as she answered.
"Hey. You must like me too"
Chuckling, Adam replied "I must"
Sam settled back into her chair still grinning.
"I thought that I could catch you on your break. Is now a good time?"
"Yep, I was just taking a few minutes to review my notes before I called you"
"Well, Jamie and I got called to conduct an interview and I didn't want to miss talking to you tonight so here I am"
Sam's heart gave a little pitter-pat. "I'm glad that you called" Her voice softened "How was your day?"
She could hear a husky tone enter Adam's "Pretty good. How about yours?"
