Adam watched every second tick by on the clock while he waited with Samantha's parents and Mrs. Connor in the hospital waiting room.
He couldn't sit because he was afraid that if he sat he would have too much time to think.
Too much time to remember how Samantha looked, beaten and tied helplessly to that chair. How Jamie had looked, wide eyed and shocked when Adam had come in. Jamie had known instantly that Adam wanted his hands on Nathan Moore and immediately directed his attention to Samantha who was watching him and needing him.
Hell, he always wanted her to need him, she was so damn independent, but he hated the fact that she had been helpless in that moment and he hated, hated the fact that that bastard had hurt her. Had dared to hurt one hair on her beautiful body.
He'd already spoken to the police counselor, arranging for Samantha to have a session with her on Monday. He knew that Samantha felt more than most and he worried about her.
