Chapter 28

Emily's POV

"What the hell is your problem?" I yell holding up the collar in my hand,

"Watch your tone." The woman in front of me replies, I glare at her, but choose to keep my mouth shut before I get myself killed. Everything about this woman is off, from her purple eyes and jet black hair to her cat like claws that she constantly files, when ever I see her I can't help but think of all the things she did, she exists which means the legends are true, mass murder, ritual killings, taking children, all of it. Vera snatches the collar out of my hand, she examines it in her hand,
"Your girlfriend is lucky." She says,
"She maxed it out, if she wasn't as strong as she is she'd be dead already. It's a shame really." She looks down at her nails while she speaks, I let a growl slip and she gives me a smile,
"Cute." She says before growling loudly at me, it echoes in my body causing me to grab hold of my head with one hand and look for the floor that is fast approaching with the other,
"That is a growl, don't bother me with your pitiful squeaks." She says and turns away from me, leaving both me and my naked mate lying on the floor at the entrance of her house, I have one final thought before I black out, the whole pack is either leaving tonight or not at all.

When I finally come through I'm sitting up in my brothers lap, the first thing I look for is Jas, just a few feet away she's wrapped in a blanket and Cassidy holds her in his arms while Grant looks over her, trying to wake her up.

"Back up." I say tripping over my arms as I scrabble over to her, Grant moves backwards a bit, but still stays by her side. I grab one of her hands,

'Wake up.' Nothing.
'Wake up, wake up, wake up.' I yell into the link we share, she mumbles something incoherent out loud,
'Jas, wake up.'

"I'm up, go away." She says swatting my hand away, both me and Cassidy smile at this,

"We're late to school." I whisper in her ear,

"Shit!" She yells sitting upright and head butting Cassidy wiping the smile off his face. This makes me laugh harder,

"God Luna, you have a hard head." He says rubbing his chin,
"Aww, you made me bite my tongue as well." He says sticking his tongue out to get a better look,

"Ew, don't lick me." Jas says scooting away from him, Ben clears his throat causing all of us to face him,

"I think there's more important matters to attend to than who's licking who." Ben says, Jasmine smirks and I can tell she's about to make an inappropriate joke, I elbow her in the ribs,

"Ow, still tender." She says rubbing it, I roll my eyes at her. We all sit expectantly waiting for her to tell us the plan,
"You want my plan?" She asks when she sees our eyes on her,
"You're the Alpha here, you make the plan." She says,

"Fine. We leave tonight, you lead the way." Her eyes shoot to me,

"Not what I was saying. Are you crazy? I'll probably lead us all to our painful deaths." She says looking at her bruised body, the collar pretty much shattered all of her bones, they've mostly healed, but her skin is still coloured a purple blue colour, I imagine it hurts. I get to my feet and offer my hand to my mate, she takes it and flinches when she puts weight on her legs,

"Here. Let me help." I say wrapping one arm around her shoulders and use the other to scoop her up around her knees, she grabs a hold of my shirt at my shoulder and with her other hand she lifts it up and rubs the patterns on my skin. I feel my face heat up as well as the markings, Jas smiles up at me.

"That's new." Cassidy states, I turn around so my back is facing him and begin to walk up the stairs.

"No. Not at all." Grant says,
"In the legend Jas read, when the sun, Emily, and the moon, Jas, finally meet the world lights up and darkens at the same time, the people on the Earth are afraid and send an offering to the goddesses, a new born child. Any of you two expecting?" He finishes with a laugh, the other boys laugh as well, Jas lifts herself up and looks over my shoulder,

"You're saying we get a small child? Like smaller than Isabelle? Can't wipe their own ass small?" She says with disgust in her voice, but I can feel the excitement radiating through her body.

"Calm down, you and I both know that if there's a kid you wont be changing it." I say causing her to smile.

"Fuck yeah! Bring me baby offerings, people of Earth!" She yells as I use my foot to open the door of the small room we were assigned, I put Jasmine down on the bed and let her get comfy before getting in and sitting next to her, the boys follow after me, Jas puts her head in my lap and I run my hand down her back causing her to snuggle closer to me and close her eyes. The boys watch intrigued for some reason, I clear my throat breaking the silence,

"We're getting out of here tonight or we might not be alive to get out." I say the boys nod, "You saw what that bitch did to us, if we weren't as strong we'd be dead, and that was her plan, go get a few more people, I have poorly constructed a plan, we're going to need a few more people to pull it off." Jas laughs and an inappropriate comment echoes in my head, I roll my eyes at her idea of funny,

"And get Isabelle, I need her to know that she's getting replaced." Jas says, the guys laugh and Ben and Grant walk out of the room to get some other people to resume plan creating.

"Luna, what if you don't get a baby?" Cassidy asks, she looks up at him with her eyebrow raised,

"I'll steal one. That simple." She says rolling onto her back and looking up at me, I smile and play with her hair,

"Cassidy, where did you come from?" I ask, curiosity getting the better of me,

"Troy, I think anyway." He says, he seems confused, but I decide not ask why,

"How'd you get here?" I ask,

"I don't remember, the last thing I remember was getting stabbed in the chest, next thing I know I'm here and there's a strange lady telling me that I have been asleep for centuries and she wants me to join her pack and take over the world, and I said no. I was in that basement for years, I lost count of how many."

"How?" I ask, he looks up at me,

"My mother was a monster, she manipulated my father to leave his pack and his mate to mate with her, his pack executed him and when I was born, I was dubbed a abomination with vampire and wolf blood, but I have barely aged since I was stabbed, I was lead to believe I died by Vera, but I don't know what to believe, anything is possible really." He says, "That's why I believe we can get out, you think I have survived all that I have to die here, defiantly not." I smile at him and Jas looks up at him in awe.

"That's sooo fucking cool." She says sitting up to look at him better'
"I have a question, do you drink blood?" She whispers, he laughs at her seriousness,

"I can if I want to, but its frowned upon, so I don't."

"That's so... cool. Can we be friends? Oh, and do you have fangs?" She whispers the last part, Cassidy laughs again,

"We can be friends, and no, I don't have fangs, they aren't necessary when you have teeth like a wolf." She smiles at him, she is quite interested in him which is cute, she acts like a kid about most things,

"Well, if it makes you feel better, I think you're fucking awesome." She says, Cassidy smiles and thanks her,

"Who's fucking awesome?" Abby asks walking in followed by Isabelle, Jake, Nate, Michael, Ben and Grant.

"Ew, why are you here Nate?" Jas jokes completely ignoring Abby,

"I'm with Isabelle." He says pointing to the girl behind him,

"Uh, no, you aren't. She's too young for you, I don't approve, you don't have my blessing, GTFO." She says pointing to the door,

"If you two are done playing, there are some serious matters to deal with." Ben interrupts, Jas sticks her tongue out at him,

"Put that away, babes. We all know where that's been." Abby says laughing, Ben sends her a glare as everyone cracks up. After the we calm down a bit everyone settles on the bed around us,

"Anyway, back to business, here's the plan."
