Chapter 31

I get out of the shower and change into a grey sweater and skinny jeans. I brush my hair and leave it down. I walk down the stairs to find out what everyone is doing in my living room.

"Hey babe" Zach says and kisses me

Babe? Why is he calling me babe?

"Uh hey" I mumble
"We were just talking about you" Sofia says
"Oh really" I roll my eyes
"We were saying how you and Liam should totally get together" she continues
"Um no, definitely not" I answer

"You and Liam would be so cute together, you guys could come on double dates with Zach and I"

I bite my lip and turn to look at Zach, he blushes. "I'm just gonna go back upstairs" I mumble
"Stay" Zach begs, "please"

I sit back down, Zach wraps his arm around my shoulder. I lean into him,

"Let's play dare" Sofia suggests
"Dare?" Liam questions
"Like truth or dare but only dares" she explains
"Okay" he agrees
"Someone dare me" she says
"Kiss Zach" Megan says
Sofia smirks, "okay"

She walks over to the couch that Zach and I are sitting on, she leans over and plants a kiss on his lips. A kiss that lasts way to long in my opinion.

She finally pulls away, "Liam I dare you to kiss Maddie"

Liam stand up and walks over to me, "ready princess?" He doesn't wait for my answer. He puts his hand under my chin and tilts my head up. He leans over and his lips meet mine. After a couple seconds Zach pushes Liam away from me,
"That's enough" he scowls
"Oh I was just getting started" Liam smirks
"Back off" Zach demands
Liam raises an eyebrow, "no"

Zach stands up and his hands are balled up into fists, Liam matches his stance.

"Guys enough" I say
"Stay out of this" they say in unison
"Can you please just stop" I beg
"Maddie" Zach says
"What"
"Just go upstairs"
"Why" I protest
"I don't want you to get hurt" he says quietly
"Your not going to hurt me"
He mumbles something I can't hear, I storm upstairs.

A couple minutes later Liam walks into my room, "just leave me alone" I groan
"Before you say anything let me explain. Zach and I weren't just fighting about you. There's something else. It's not my place to say, I'll let him do that. I care about you Maddie. Here him out, okay?"

"Wait, Liam-what do you mean,"
"He'll explain everything"

Zach walks into my room,
"You probably have a lot of questions, just let me explain. I came over to talk to you, but you were gone. Liam and Sofia were already here so I decided to wait with them. While you were gone I told them something, that's what Liam's talking about." Zach explains, he sighs before continuing, "I have Chronic Myeloid Leukemia"
