Bonus Chapter

Zach's Point Of View:

"I'm home" I yell entering my house
"Zach" my mom greets me, "come sit down, we were just starting dinner"

I sit at our big table, I stare at the food in front of me. It looks gross.

"How was your day sweetheart"
"Uh it was good" I mumble my reply

"anything interesting happen"
"I got a new lab partner"
"Who?"
"Maddie"
"The pretty one?"
"Mom!"
"Sorry, but she is the pretty one right?"
"Yes mom"
"Who's the one you don't like?"
"Sofia, mom. Can't you remember this stuff"
"Sorry sweetie I forget" she says and kisses my forehead, "you should start your homework"
"Right" I mumble

I push my chair away from the table and walk up the huge staircase leading to the bedrooms. I walk into my room and throw my backpack near my desk. I flop down on my bed and sigh.

Maddie's my new lab parter. I don't know wether or not to be happy or nervous. I've had a crush on Maddie for as long as I can remember, and her sister and her friends have always had crushes on me.

I've never had a problem with girls before, but when it comes to Maddie I just freeze up. She's not like everyone else, she's so perfect.

I know she goes through a lot, constant bullying. It doesn't help that her moms gone, I know her dad focuses on Megan most of the time. Don't get me wrong Megan's cool but she turns mean as soon as she's around Sofia. All the guys on the team like her, I don't know why. Sofia's nasty, she destroys anyone in her way.

She so mean to Maddie, I can't stand it. I'm waiting for the day that I have enough courage to stand up to her, to protect Maddie. It doesn't matter, Maddie will never notice me.

So here's a little bonus chapter in Zach's point of view. This happens right after he and Maddie become lab partners.
