Jiyeon POV

Nothing like a white wonderland of snow to greet you on Christmas morning right?

Well that's exactly what I woke up to and the feeling made me feel like I was coming straight out of a holiday classic.

To see store windows decorated with colorful lights and wreaths and to see houses decked out in various life sized statues of infamous holiday characters.

"Ahh I love Christmas!" I singsonged as I jumped out of bed.

It was super early in the morning. I mean it was like five in the morning early. But who cares? It's Christmas morning and there's so much to do. Places to go people to see.

I rushed to get ready and slipped into the warmest clothes I had.

Then once I was ready, I gathered up all the gifts I had prepared and strutted out of my house to complete my modern-day Santa duties.

First stop:

Hana's house.

I needed to get there quick because Hana was leaving early in the morning to go see her parents in Jeju, so I wanted to get to her first to wish her and give her the present I prepared.

Thankfully, I managed to get an Uber to drive me there.

As I looked out the window, I couldn't help but beam at the winter wonderland that I was passing by. It was a bit too early for kids to be up and playing in the snow, but I could just imagine how in a few short hours, the streets would be filled with people of all ages embracing the holiday spirit, no matter what they celebrated.

After a short drive, I thanked and wished the driver before hopping out into the frigid air.

But I honestly couldn't complain. I loved the snow and the cold. The feeling of your nose going numb and the sight of your breath creating fog, I loved it all.

I trudged through the snow, fighting back all urges to make snow angels until I got to her doorstep.

Then I proceeded to carol like a crazy person until she came to the door.

"I swear to god these damn carolers—"

But when she opened the door, she jumped back in surprise.

"Jiyeon! I didn't expect to see you here. It's so early, shouldn't you be sleeping?" She questioned.

My teeth chattered, "Can I come in?"

"Oh crap, of course!"

I was immediately met with the cozy warmth of her house. Didn't you love that feeling? The feeling of being out in the cold and suddenly stepping into somewhere warmer. It was such a satisfying feeling.

As I walked into her house, I couldn't help but feel a twang of nostalgia. This place had been my safe haven for a long time. I had very strong feelings for Hana's house. It was like a second home to me. Or rather, a shelter.

Hana eyed the stack of gifts in my hand, "And what do we have here? That all must weight at least fifty pounds."

"Thirty-seven and a half," I corrected.

She raised an eyebrow, "This is all for the kids and that oaf."

I threw a pillow at her, "He's not an oaf. I really like him so I wanted to get him something accordingly. But don't feel left out, I got you something too~"
