Y/n's pov

I followed the former thunder hashira to another mountain, there I found a house.

We three walked inside the house and we saw another boy.

"We have a new trainee," the former thunder hashira said, the boy looked at me.

"Y/n this is kaigaku," the former thunder hashira said, the boy rolled his eyes on me.

"Kaigaku this is y/n," the former thunder hashira said introducing me.

"Hi" I greeted bowing a little like a sigh of respect.

"Tsk! Are you serious? A girl will be training?" he asked the former thunder hashira.

"Kaigaku, there's a lot of female demon slayers, there is also a lot of strong female demon slayer, there are even female hashiras," the former thunder hashira said.

"Whatever," he said.

"Y/n don't mind him and make yourself at home," the former thunder hashira said as he smiled at me.

"Thank you," I said.

Zenitsu already sat in the corner away from kaigaku, I sat beside zenitsu.

"Why are you sitting here? Why don't you join kaigaku?" I asked him, he looked at me.

"Kaigaku is strong, he is also full of himself, I admire him, I can't be like him, I wish I was like him, he see me weak, so I'm scared of him," zenitsu said in a sad tone that made me sad.

"It's okay, I know you can be strong as him," I said patting his head trying to cheer him up.

"Thanks, but I don't think so," he said, I suddenly smell sadness in him, how?

"Don't be sad and cheer up, you know just look at the bright side" I said as I gave him a smile, he gave me a small smile back.

"Why do you wanna train?" he suddenly asked, now I can smell curiosity.

"Oh! I have friends who trained as a demon slayer, they once save me from a demon, they've been there for me since I'm all alone now, I admire them, I want to be like them, saving others, and maybe I could meet them again" I said smiling at zenitsu.

"I hear the sadness in your voice y/n-chan," zenitsu said, he hears the sadness in my voice? How? I didn't even hear myself as sad when I was telling him the story.

"Oh.," I said not knowing what to answer.

"It might sound creepy but I can hear everything," he said, well that's new.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yeah.." he said.

"That's cool," I said smiling at him.

That night we were getting ready to sleep, yet I just stood near the window.

"Y/n-chan, are you okay? You seem pretty down" zenitsu said as he walks to me.

"I'm just thinking about someone," I said looking at the moon.

"Who?" he asked.

"I think I'll tell you someday," I said looking at him, I then walked over to the former thunder hashira.

"Um..sir," I said, he looked at me.

"Just call me whatever you want, you can call me gramps like zenitsu if you want," he said.

"Oh...okay then...gramps," I said shyly, zenitsu looked at me dumbfounded.

"What is it then y/n?" gramps asked.
