Kamila's POV

After telling Serenity all about the supernatural world. I just hoped I did not freak her out too much.
Fangirling over movies like Twilight, the vampire diaries and teen wolf is quite different from realising that they are all real.

That morning, I stood in the kitchen, the warm aroma of freshly cooked pancakes filling the air. The morning light streamed through the windows, casting a soft glow over the countertops. I had just placed the last stack of pancakes on the table when my phone rang. Wiping my hands on a towel, I picked it up and saw Serenity's name flashing on the screen. My heart skipped a beat; I hoped our conversation about the supernatural world hadn't scared her off.

"Hello?" I answered, trying to keep my voice steady.

"Kamila, it's me," Serenity's voice came through, sounding a bit breathless but determined. "I've been thinking a lot about what you told me."

I braced myself, unsure of what was coming next. "And?"

"And I want to come visit," she said, her tone resolute. "I need to see this for myself and be there with you."

A wave of relief washed over me, and I couldn't help but smile. "I'm so glad to hear that, Serenity. I promise you'll be safe here, and I'll explain everything when you arrive."

"I know you will," she replied, a hint of her usual cheerfulness returning. "But I have so many questions, Kamila. Like, how do werewolves transform? Do they follow the moon? And witches—do they cast spells with wands, or is it more like in the movies?"

I chuckled, imagining Serenity's wide-eyed curiosity. "There’s a lot to explain, but it’s better if you see it for yourself. Trying to explain everything over the phone would take forever."

She sighed, a mix of excitement and frustration in her voice. "I guess you're right. It’s just hard to wrap my head around it. This is like finding out all our favorite fantasy shows were based on reality."

"I know," I said softly. "It was a lot for me to process at first too. But once you’re here, I think you’ll understand better."

"Okay," Serenity agreed, a bit more relaxed now. "So, when can I come?"

"I’ll need a day or two to make sure everything is ready for your visit," I explained. "We need to prepare the guest room and make sure the pack knows you'll be here. How about the day after tomorrow?"

"That sounds perfect," Serenity said, her excitement palpable. "I’ll book my flight and let you know the details. I can’t wait to see you, Kamila."

"I can’t wait to see you too," I replied, feeling a warmth spread through my chest. "It's been too long."

We chatted for a few more minutes, mostly about mundane things to ease the tension from the heavy topics we had discussed. After we said our goodbyes and I hung up, I stood for a moment, absorbing the reality of the situation. Serenity was coming here, to my world. I just hoped she would be able to handle everything she would see.

Just then, Dylan and Ryan returned from their run, their faces flushed and their energy vibrant from the morning exercise. "Good run?" I asked, smiling at them.

"The best," Dylan replied, grabbing a towel to wipe the sweat from his brow. "What's got you looking so thoughtful?"

"Serenity called," I said, glancing between them. "She’s decided to come visit."

Ryan raised an eyebrow, a slight smile playing on his lips. "That’s great news. How does she feel about everything?"

"She's curious, excited, and probably a little scared," I admitted. "She has so many questions, but I told her it’s better to wait until she’s here."
