"OMG! So you guys actually kissed, how romantic!" Yara yelped.

I couldn't help but phase red, almost as if I wasn't speaking opposite my best friend but a complete stranger, but then again, something so private and intimate will have anyone blushing so scarlett.

"Yes we kissed, so what," I uttered defensively.

Yara placed her hands up defensively, "relax babe, no one is against you here, it's about time, my little Pookie lost her innocence."

I couldn't help but facepalm myself, "Yara! I didn't lose my virginity for Christ's sake!"

She swayed her side comprehending everything I uttered at. "Well a kiss is something big, especially for someone so delicate, and innocent".

I couldn't help but roll my eyes at her.

Yara shuffles on the couch, "So how is Mr. Domineering?"

I gawk at her head tilted, "He is not domineering! He is just very masculine," I came to his defence.

She nodded.

"Sure babe, I still can't believe that you forgave him that quick!"

"He's a guy Yara! They're bound to screw up, what part of me would just let him be if I didn't try and fix him," I said with a Cheshire grin.

Yara looks at me with raised eyebrows.

"I'm kidding! You know me. I take these things too seriously, of course I wasn't going to let that idiot walk all over me, and of course I appreciate you being there for me. But there was something there, something in the moment couldn't let me tell Andrew no, that I didn't forgive him, that I never wanted him to see him again."

Yara looked unsure.

I grabbed her hands warmly in mine. " Don't worry, he loves me just as much as I love him, we all mistakes, and that fine, we just have to learn and move past them. Don't worry about him, he won't stuff up again," I said as a vibration from my phone distracts me and sidetracks me.

To my dismay, I thought I had the heart the muttering of some words, "It's not him I'm worried about," shaking it off as I'm distracted by the blocked caller ID.

"Hello, Melissa speaking."

"Hi Melissa, it's Nancy calling from Cross Spirit Boy's School, how are you?"

My heart began to flutter, my veins dry, this had to be the feedback for the job at the all boy's high school.

"I'm doing well Nancy, how about yourself?"

"That's great Melissa. I'm calling on behalf of the HR team, we'd like to inform you that your application for the humanities department at our school was successful and we're looking forward to welcoming to our college," she congratulated.

Ahh! This was so exciting as Yara leaped for joy, my attempts at signing her 'job accepted' was quite successful.

"I'm so flattered Nancy, thank you and your board for your evaluation, I hope that I will provide as much support while working in the school."

It was as if I could hear Nancy smiling on the other end, "Looking forward to it Melissa, our next staff meeting will be held on the 25th of January this month, this will give you and your faculty enough time to get to know each other as well as start your academic planning for when school starts the next week".

"Ah excellent, I'll definitely remember that," I tease.

Nancy chuckles. "I will send you an email with all your information, as well as your contract that I need autographed by no later than next week, then we can proceed with all the housekeeping matters Melissa."
