Everyone has a sadistic Ego, causing pain and infliction for their own benefits. Where have all the good people gone?
Your neighbours and their neighbours want what you have? What will they do to get it? Steal, murder, manipulate?
Everyone was sinning, taking God for granted, religion for granted. It was a means of faith, not salvation, taking God’s law for granted, dismissing it all as unimportant, forgivable actions. This was a deadly sin.
