(A/N: I should apologize in advance for the fairly misleading image posted. However, I was having a bit of trouble finding a good image to represent this chapter, but after seeing this artwork, I just thought that it would fit pretty well and that it's drawn quite spectacularly. Anyways, happy reading!)

     (Two or so hours later):

Edd, along with you tagging along, finished the bulk of your commerce within an hour or so of starting. Although, Edd had decided to just finish up the rest of his own shopping that needed to be done, which included buying groceries. Whenever you occasionally went to the store with your parents, you were used to them only gathering the minimum of five or six items every time, as they planned their lists with ease. In fact, they really only bought the necessities. However, let's just say that you were more than surprised to see two whole carts filled from bottom to top with groceries.

You played it off as a joke at first, but Edd shook his head and told you that this was, in fact, the absolute minimum that he normally bought every time he needed to restock the kitchen.

You looked at him, shocked, as you both finished loading the car, "How can you possibly afford it all?"

The brunet shrugged off your question, easily, "Hey, living with three other roommates who all work in their own time has its benefits, (Y/N). Plus, working as an artist, of sorts, is profitable. Now, back to business, let's see if you can still fit into the car."

It took a few attempts and the reshuffling of some items, but the man actually managed to get you into the car, even if you had to tuck in your legs and sit still for the whole ride. When Edd finally pulled up to the house, you almost instantly saw his face whiten. Digging through the bags in the way of your view, you were just as dumbfounded as well. The whole yard had seemed to have been consumed with a large pile of random trinkets and items. You noticed Matt sitting near the pile, weeping by the looks of it, surrounded by a mess of broken glass.

Tord and Tom were near the opening of the home arguing, yet again, over something.

Edd rested his head on the steering wheel, looking utterly defeated. You shifted as best as you could around the groceries, stretching your arm, as you connected with his shoulder. You rested your hand there for a minute and he silently reached up and squeezed it with one of his own hands, before he took out the key from the ignition.

"Give me a minute, (Y/N)," he turned, speaking to you.

Opening the car door, Edd got out and then slammed it shut, moving around the automobile as he stood on the spot. He glared at the roommates, his arms crossed. His face set in a deep scowl. At the notice of him standing there, Tord and Tom looked up at him, their argument seemingly quelled for the moment, while Matt ceased his weeping. Letting out a small sniffle or two every so often.

Edd looked livid, which seemed uncommon for him, since he normally appeared to be so easy going.

"I leave you all home for about two hours and this is what happens? The yard is a wreck! It's going to take hours to clean!"

He shook his head, ranting, gaze piercing Tord, Matt, and Tom, "Did you even get the room cleaned?"

Nobody seemed to want to address Edd, but Tord spoke up, "Actually, that's the one thing that we did do. Though, Thomas here," Tord glared at Tom, who glared right back at him, "couldn't agree with me on using my own invention to clean up the yard. We could have been done by now."
