The next day, the Afri scorched the earth. The once prosperous landscape of fertile valleys and green, luscious vineyards, was reduced to charred waste and rising ash.

The joyful dogs barked and marched on their ox-wagons, setting fire and shooting Amandla charged cannons to the farmlands of Petora. Everything was right with the world in their eyes. Like a day of unboxing, they opened their presents in jubilation.

Vice Captain Johannes led them to Beafa's farm, wearing bison skinned khaki pants with blue and white face paint and buzzed hair. He, like the rest of the men, wore transparent shark armour over their pale skin.

Poku walked beside him like a mindless... thing really. It creeped Johannes out immensely, but he didn't care, so long as he got the job done.

The army found Beafa on the steps of his farmhouse, sitting, with his large pyramid spiked mace in hand that matched the stone boulder mace in Poku's hand.

The wind made the charred windmills and windpumps spin like Beafa's inflated mind over the course of the entire war. So many loved ones had died, the most heartbreaking of them all, to him at least, was Brianna.

The two of them had a very... on and off relationship. In truth, Beafa harboured guilt ever since Tomas died. He believed that the only reason Brianna would try and engage in a relationship with him was purely to cope with the loss of her husband.

I was a gigantic fool. Beafa frowned like he was flattening the earth. There was a reason why he and Renero were best friends.

They spoke about these things many times. About how Renero felt like he would be betraying Banti if he married Minaleese without finding her first, even though he, as Chief, could have multiple wives, to the point where Banti would have happily accepted Minaleese in any case.

But Beafa was different. He didn't know why. Ishthrylla already saw him as a father. He was... the only father she knew for most of her life. He thought about marrying Brianna. Truly, he did. The thought sprung forth in his mind at Renero and Minaleese's wedding.

Brianna led him away to dance in... more ways than one. There was no woman like her by far. Despite the absurd difference between them in height, that woman...

Brazen Brianna. Beafa thought. She set his heart and soul ablaze during their night of flaming heat. She was like a red squirrel that searched frantically for her goldmine of nuts to bust, acorns to hump and eggs to crack, as she always said, referring to bursting orgasms.

No matter how they did it, no matter what position they did it in... she kept coming back for more like some enraged demon.

And people wonder where Ishthrylla got her persistent tendencies from. Tomas, how on earth did you tame that demonic creature?
