I woke again after a few hours to somebody blowing on my face. Reluctantly, I prized open an eye to find Thaddeus staring at me. The happy-go-lucky version of him was gone- for the meantime. He pressed his forehead against mine, taking in a deep breath. There was a slither of humanity left in his body from the night before, as his hand moved from underneath the covers to stroke my cheek. I smiled, he was still waking up, his brow furrowed, eyes the pastel green that I had grown to adore. "You do realise that I have to go to work, don't you." I said, watching him chew the insides of his mouth. He shook his head, draping his arm over my body, burying his face in the gap between the pillow and my chest. "Thaddeus, I work for you. What does this make me look like?" I said with a sigh, as he groaned loudly, kicking his leg out in defiance. "Thaddeus West, if you don't let me go I swear to Christ." I pretended to threaten him, which ultimately got me absolutely nowhere.

"You'll do nothing, and you'll enjoy it." He said, his voice saturated with sleep. I rolled my eyes, lying back, letting him have his way. He looked up at me, I could only see his green eye and a lonely freckle sitting just to the left of his eye. I had never noticed that little mark before, I cocked my head to the side, reaching down to stroke the spot. He closed his eye, his hand creeped up from its spot underneath his body, grabbing onto mine. His thumb stroked my skin as he looked up at me, I was staring at the wall in front of me.

"What happened to you sleeping on the couch, huh?" I asked, running a hand through his soft hair. He made a cute little grunt; never had I experienced this much affection from him, his usual cold, antagonising appeared to have evaporated from his body. I was surprised, as I had expected him to upset me as soon as his eyes opened. I hadn't expected him to want to be held like this, to want to hold my hand as though he truly did have some human emotion inside him. I couldn't help but think about how adorable he was being with me. I couldn't help but be enticed by him.

"I got lonely. And, this is my bed. You just happen to be inside it, so I'm sharing it with you." He said with a wicked smile, he sat up. He crossed his legs, sitting in front of me, resting his chin in the palm of his hand. I loved the way that his messy hair fell about his face, framing it perfectly. Grabbing onto my arm, he pulled me closer to him, so that he could look at me more carefully. He stroked my bottom lip, moving a stray strand of hair from in front of my eyes. "So beautiful." He whispered, before pressing his lips against mine, my fingers once again losing themselves in his dark hair. He laid me down, smiling as he continued to kiss me. His mouth trailed to my ear, nibbling my earlobe, my legs wrapping around his torso. "You look hot in my shirt." He whispered into my ear, sending shivers down my spine. Chuckling, he moved back to my lips, lightly chewing my bottom lip. Sitting back, he pouted adorably. "I'm hungry." He said, scratching his head. I nodded in agreement, surprised that the two of us couldn't hear my stomach growling at me.

" I'm hungry too. And I have a job to attend at some point today. I may have shared a bed with you, but I can't not work. What sort of impression would I be making on the other members of staff?" I said, he rolled his eyes, leaning back, stretching his pale arms.

"I'll order room service. I enjoy torturing Penelope this early in the morning by making the wildest demands as possible. You can have the day off." He said, I shook my head with a smile. That boy would do anything to keep me around.

A knock on the door broke apart another mildly intimate moment between us. We had relocated to his lounge, he was lying between my legs, looking up at me with his endearing eyes. He frowned, rolling off the couch, staggering over to the door. As soon as he opened the door, Penelope barged in, pushing a metal trolley. It had everything on it that Thaddeus had requested, including his morning bottle of rum. She stood with her hands on her hips, looking at me though a judgemental gaze. She scoffed, shaking her head. "I knew that you would be up here, after the night that you two had last night." She jeered at me, I looked down at the ground, feeling shame wash over me.

"Leave him alone. I'll send for you when we've finished." Thaddeus growled, she looked me up and down before she turned on her heel, leaving the room. Thaddeus shook his head, waiting until she had left to embrace me. He cupped my cheeks, looking into my eyes, "Don't you let her talk to you that way, ever, do you hear me? She's a sad old woman, she'll never be as beautiful as you are." He said softly, planting a kiss on my forehead, stroking my cheek with the back of his hand. He smiled, turning around, his hands opening and closing in delight as he saw the food on the trolley. I joined him, picking the bare minimum from the feast that Penelope had provided for us.

"Get some more." Thaddeus demanded, his brow furrowed, half a croissant sticking out of his mouth. I sighed, picking up a smaller croissant. "Not enough, more." He said, I reluctantly took more. Usually I didn't have time for breakfast, being a working person and all. As well as that, I was terrified of putting on weight, as it would further distort the images of my body that made me feel depressed. He beckoned me over to him on the couch, I sat next to him gingerly, grouchily shoving a strawberry into my mouth.
