*Hey guys, on a quick note, in this part Emily talks about her whole life story to a stranger who she doesn't know. I don't know where it came from in me but I can't be asked to fix it lol. People keep commenting about it and I'd really appreciate it if y'all just ignored it 💞*

It was the end of the day and I was taking my bag out of my locker.

I shut the door and turned on my heel, walking out of the front doors to the parking lot.

Scanning the heads of students, I spotted Callum and Zoe not far from where I was standing.

Putting on a smile, I strolled towards them.

"Hey." I greeted, stopping in front of the car.

.............

I asked Callum to drop me off at the end of my street and I got out, throwing my bag over my shoulder.

I waved goodbye to them and watched them drive away, before walking up my road.

Of course I didn't forget that my mom kicked me out, but I was hoping that she had.

When I got to my house, I walked up my driveway, hoping the door was unlocked.

I cursed under my breath when I found the door was locked.

"Crap." I mumbled, before peaking through the window.

"Mom!" I called, hoping she'd hear me. "Mom, please, let me in."

After a few minutes when I got no response, I sighed and turned around, walking away.

............................

The next morning, I woke up, confused of where I was.

Sitting up, I glanced at my surroundings and my eyes widened when the events of yesterday flooded through my head.

I got kicked out of my house. Jake punched me. Zoe freaked out. I went home and the door was locked. I went to the local park and fell asleep on a bench.

I shivered as a gust of wind touched my arms.

"Aren't you a bit young to be homeless?" A deep voice asked, surprising me.

Turning me head to my left, I narrowed my eyes at the man -only looking a few years older than me.

He took a puff of his cigarette, before dropping it on the ground and crushed it with his foot.

"So? Don't you talk?" He smirked, crossing his arms as he perched himself on a swing opposite the bench I was sat on.

My eyes widened, again, as I realized I had school today.

"Shit, what time is it?" I muttered, mostly asking myself, as I searched for my phone, which was possibly dead.

"Ah, she speaks!" He exclaimed, his smirk widening. "It's nine in the morning."

"Fuck, fuck, fuck." I stood up, running my hand through my hair.

"Woah, calm down, princess." The man, also, stood up and walked over to the bench, placing his hand on my shoulder.

"I can't, I'm so late. My mom's gonna kill me." I freaked out, looking at him.

"So, you're not homeless? You have parents?" His eyes darkened. "Did they kick you out?"
