This is a doco about the lack of female directors in Hollywood. It's a bit choppy, perhaps, jumping back and forth between a lot of female directors, organised by the common themes. The realisation of creative forces, the lack of female comrades, the lack of funds, the being passed over, the problems associated with perceived inability to direct with child. So it covers a lot of ground with a lot of personal perspectives.

It was interesting to hear the different levels of success and problems from so many different directors, who've been in the game for varying amounts of time. And put a fair few new directors on my radar. But as a cohesive document it felt a bit choppy - by showing such a diversity of voices it lost a sense of strong narrative. More a series of snapshots than a sweeping story for either hope or rage.
