This felt like a fairly nice version of a standard stalker and imprisonment saga.

I was excited to go and see Chloe Grace Moretz, but hadn't realised I'd be seeing Maika Munroe as well - she's rad! These two gals were previously paired together, in 5th Wave, where both are differently but excellently kickarse. So seeing them back together in this a besties was a nice treat. This film is a complicated international production, with a lot of it being of Irish background, filmed in Ireland, even though set in New York.

It's a pretty simple story that delivers everything it promised in the trailer. Older woman and younger woman become friends, and then it all starts to unravel as it's revealed the older woman is a bit of a creeper. Then it starts escalating, and finally our main gal is trapped and drugged. Greta's character has some awesomely excellently over-thetop moments which are somewhere between cringey and wonderfully hilarious.

It's solid, well shot, doesn't have quite as much excellent spook as I thought it might, think the glitch editing in the trailer didn't exist in the film. So it's decent, but not super amazing for psychological horror.

J* gives it 3 stars.
