Monica stood outside the house waiting on Devon. He had agreed to take her out to dinner just to be nice. They hadn't spent much time together after finding out she's pregnant. Mostly it's his fault because he's been so hung up on Jayda. He kept his distance unless it had anything to do with his child. She knocked once again, tired from standing on the porch.

"Hey, come in" Devon invited her in seeing the sky hey cloudy. Drops of water fell against the window , he sighed. "We're gonna just have to chill here, I'm not trying to get wet"

She huffed , plopping down on the sofa. "What did you wanna talk to me about"

"What we're doing has to stop. I can't do this anymore , I'm in love" Devon smiled.

"Jayda is there something on your mind. You haven't said a word since we made it to the mall. You haven't even begged me to buy you a pretzel from Auntie Annie's. So what's really up" Miracle asked sitting down her shopping bags. The two were seated on a bench in the middle of the pathway.

"That night, so many things were exposed. Apart of me feels bad for pushing Devon away after he spilt how he felt about me" Jayda vented , it had been a topic weighing heavily on her mind. No matter who or where , Devon could never slip her mind. She didn't know whether that's something toxic or just a sign that she really loves him.

Jayda couldn't comprehend how such a strong feeling could occur after a few months. She always thought that maybe it took a year or years to really figure out if your in love with someone. This is the perspective of someone who doesn't believe in love at first sight, but that's her fairytale. She hated being down , depressed, all these mixed feelings, real forms of heartbreak.

"Don't make yourself feel guilty. It's okay to be afraid, actually admit that your not ready for a relationship. Your scared after what Michel did to you, I understand, but Devon doesn't. You never told him." Miracle enlightened. "You gotta communicate , it's key to every relationship. Secondly, if you don't trust him, don't pursue it"

Miracle hugged her trying to cheer her up. "Besides you can't be frowning on your perfect night"

"Yea about that, you still haven't told me , where we're going" she huffed walking towards the exit. She shuffled around in her purse, attempting to look for the keys. Feeling the cold metal, she pulled it out, unlocking the car doors. They got in the car , throwing the shopping bags in the back seat.

"It's not a surprise if you know about it, smarty" sarcasm dripped from Miracle's tone. Jayda had mentally rolled her eyes. She hated surprises, especially when people get you so hyped up, and it's a complete bust. It could be the simplest thing and someone will make you think you've won the lottery or got the next upcoming iPhone. From using context clues I guess you could say surprises has never been the best thing for her. The last time she got surprised it was a cake made out of straight peanut butter, she didn't find out she was allergic until that night. Jayda didn't talk to her parents for a whole week after that scandal.

Parking in the driveway, a unfamiliar car came into contact. The black Lexus parked in the middle of the driveway. Jayda shook her head at the poor attempt to park on the right side of the driveway. Miracle peeped inside the car, sex toys on the backseat, lingeries thrown over the seat, candles in a bag in the passenger seat. She waved Jayda over wanting her apart of the investigation. They looked at each other snapping their fingers, " Monica" , they voice in unison. Jayda raised her eye brow interested at the certain choice of wear. She flipped the key around her finger , on the journey to the front door, unlocking the door yelling could be heard.

"I'm only keeping in contact for the sake of my child" Devon spoke calmly leaning on the back of the sofa. "I want nothing to do with you"

Monica chuckled , folding her arms together. "Your fucked him the head, your really gonna stop messing around with me because of Jayda. Really? Have you lost your ever lasting mind, I'm the mother of your child for crying out loud" she flipped her Brazilian weave across her shoulder , conflicted with herself. Monica felt stupid for pushing herself onto him in the first place. She felt so low down and dirty for fighting for a man who only sees her as a sex object. She couldn't blame him because she only cares for his dick, they only cared for each other's body parts. "Forget it, If Jayda makes you happy go for it. I apologize for my childish actions and Jayda if I've ever said anything to hurt your feelings, sorry. This man really loves you , he can't stop talking about you" Monica informed exiting the front door.

"Ja-."

"I-I-I-I'm gonna go get ready for later on. I'll FaceTime you later Miracle." Jayda practically ran out the door, darting for her car. She drove home with Devon taking over her thoughts , once again. The sight of his smooth chocolate skin, his tone body, and a head full of waves. That toothy, pearly smile that makes her weak for some odd reason, the soft side of him.

"You should curl your hair" Miracle instructed propping the camera on the post next to her bed. "It would go great with the theme of your event" she happily clapped her hands excited for her beloved best friend. Miracle was determined to do something nice for Jayda, maybe beyond nice. Since they've known each other Jayda has always had Miracle's back and vice versa. She eventually got tired of Jayda's form of depression and decided to have a night strictly focusing on her.

"This surprise better be expensive and over the top , having me do all this extra work" Jayda joked , turning on her vanity.
