New Dawn

Shadow goes deeper in the bunker hoping to find the 3 other member of the team. Then he find them in a room looking pretty familiar.

Shadow: Julia needs a doctor asap!
Faftiz: Why? What happen? Is she injured?
Shadow: No but Akran is and...
Solatix: Akran injured? impossible! he's like super tough. You must be joking, right?
Shadow: I wish...
Solatix: Both of you go help Akran, now!
Moyakniz: Why? If Akran is injured, we should regroup.
Solatix: I got shadow, i'm good. Now go!

Both of them exit the room, leaving Shadow and Solatix in the room.

Solatix: Now that we're alone, i wanted to show you something i found here.

Solatix reveal a working computer plug to a machine that looked familiar.

Solatix: I hacked the computer and something that might interest you.

Shadow leans over the computer to see a file called "New Dawn". he opens it and starts reading it.

NEW DAWN

Today is the first day of my new experiment. Subject-0627 is a male sergal about 9 years old in sergal age which make it 15 years old in common age. I'm gonna inject the DNA sample from the [REDACTED] in Subject-0627. Let's hope it doesn't die the first couple of minutes. That would be a shame to throw away such a perfect specimen.

Day 10, Subject-0627 has proven to more tough than the others. It still resisting but i might be able to change that. I just need the younger one and then it'll listen to me.

Day 27, Subject-0627 has become more tameable yet still uncontrolable. The young one though has been more interresting has it shown immunity to the DNA sample. I wonder if i could use it to control Subject-0627. I'll have to run some test.

Day 183, Subject-0627 has shown progress. The result are almost perfect, ALMOST.
I can't seem to be able to control him and NOW they want the young one for another project. I told them it was important for my project but NOOOO. They must have it NOOOW. Stupid high rank and their stupid ideas but soon, oh yes, soon they'll know who's really in charge here. Oh they will...

Day 311, Subject-0627 is now in an artificial hibernation. I still don't know how to control him but those damn rebelious anarchys decided to attack today I've hidden all my work in this pc and encrypted everything. they won't find stop my project. I've released the failled subjects, screams and growls can be heard but i have no time to watch.

ENTRY 354

My masterpiece is free. Subject-0627 call himself Shadow and works with the local refuges in a outpost called safe haven. If only they knew, they wouldn't of take him in their outpost. But it's the perfect place to test my new serum just need to find a way to approach it... Yes i know how...

Then before Shadow could react, Solatix stab Shadow with his serum injector and inject it into the neck of Shadow.

Now you'll be a good boy and listen to me, Ombras. I want you to find those that where with us and infect them with the same thing that runs through your veins. The ancient blood.

Shadow tries his hardest to speak but couldn't. His blood was boiling, hist claws were glowing red and his rage became more and more stronger. He wanted blood and flesh. But in a faint hope of stoping solatix, he slashed Solatix to face, leaving 3 huge claw mark on his face.

HOW ARE YOU STILL RESISTING?! NO MATTER, I'LL FIND A WAY TO CONTROL YOU!

Solatix ran away while Shadow loses his grip onto reality.

Kill! Devaour! Blood! Flesh! Prey! Weak! Hunt!

As Shadow loses control of his mind, he becomes more and more unstable. He wanted to scream but no sound came out. He want to stop his uncontrolable moves but nothing happen.
All the sudden he hears movement. He run without hesitation and enter the corridor to see 2 preys unaware of him. he slash the first one and stab him with his claw, opening him like a trashbag. guts all over the floor then the second prey jump on Shadow's back while trying to bite Shadow's neck. Shadow take him by the head and tears his head cleen off with his jaws.

Blood squirted everywhere while Shadow starts eating the heart of one of them. And then Shadow hears gunshots and yelling and rush toward the sound. There was 7 preys fighting each others. Shaodow jumps on one of them, slashing him rapidly until its unrecongnizable. Then smash the head of another on the wall, breaking his skull immediatly. After that, Shadow stab the third with his claw, leaving his claw visible on the other side of his body to the tear him in half. He then sees one of the four remaining prey on the ground, injured, bleeding, WEAK AND EASY TO PREY ON.

In secondes, Shadow rushed the injured prey and start ripping of his fleshy meat, one bite at a time, to ge tackle by smaller prey who Shadow throw onto some broken shelves and desk. Then the taller one shoots Shadow in the back making him the next victim to get grabbed, slashed and thrown into an adjacent wall. Shadow then grabs the last one and...

Shadow! What are you doing!

Shadow stop and freeze for a moment.

It's me, Julia! Your friend!

Then, before Shadow could react, Akran stab Shadow in the upper back putting Shadow to a stop.
Falling on the ground still conscious. Shadow starts to feel more himself, regainning grip onto reality.

Julia: AKRAN! TALK TO ME! AKRAN!
Akran: *Cough* I knew he was... *Cough*
Julia: STAY WITH ME! DON'T DIE ON ME!
Akran: *Cough* You know... *Cough* ...That i ain't gonna... *Dies*
Julia: Akran?... SHADOW WHAT HAPPEN?! WHERE'S SOLATIX? YOU KILLED HER TOO?
Shadow: She betrayed me... She injected something in...
Julia: WHY WOULD SHE DO THAT?! TELL ME!
Shadow: She was ... the one who ... put me in the machine...
Julia: NO, ITS NOT TRUE! ITS A MALE VOXION CALLED NOTRIX WHO DID THAT!
Shadow: I have proof ... the pc ... in the room i was ... the proof there...

Julia rushed to the pc then sees what Shadow was talking about. She copied the document on a datapad and return to Shadow.

Julia: I didn't think he had the time to experiment on you or atleast succeed on doing so.
Shadow: So you ... trust me...
Julia: Yes... DAMN NOTRIX! HOW DID HE MANAGE TO CHANGE APPEARANCE!
Shadow: Is everyone...
Julia: Dead? Sadly yes and if it wasn't from Akran, i would be too i guess.
Shadow: Its all my fault. You should kill me so i don't become a danger to anyone else.
Julia: No.
Shadow: Julia, i...
Julia: SHUT UP, SHADOW! I ain't going to kill you! You weren't yourself. Its Notrix's fault not yours.
Shadow: I... Thank you but could you help me remove this dagger in my back.
Julia: Of cour... Wait how are you still alive?!
Shadow: If only i knew.

So they buried their friends and walk back to their outpost with a secret they will keep for themselves.
