Women of God, we have to know what we are up against. We often fight against flesh and blood. We argue we insult, we swear against and fight against those around us that we can feel and touch. We see other human beings that are also made in the image of God as our enemies but the word reveals who are our true enemies.

Ephesians 6:12
ESV
12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

Did you read that? Principalities, rulers of darkness?

In the Book of Daniel (Read Daniel 10) we see a demonic spirit that was stopping the angel from giving Daniel a message. This is spiritual warfare, this 'prince' was not flesh and blood but a spiritual principality. There are different principalities and rulers of darkness in our world today that just like the prince of Persia they fight against us and our prayers spiritually in the spiritual realm.

These spirits bring conflict, envy, jealousy, insecurity, pain, depression, anxiety, confusion, hate etc, instead of uniting which is what God does, these spirits cause division and create chaos.

That's why we should look to our fellow neighbours as enemies but rather the spirits behind all these attacks as who we should rage war against.

We should begin to pray against the spirit of fear, pray against the attacks and agendas of the kingdom of darkness against our lives and futures and those around us, we should pray for the blood of Jesus to cover us and others.

And we should most importantly be armoured up!

Ephesians 6:11-19
ESV
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. 14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. 16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; 17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, 19 and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel,
