Chapter Forty-five

Dalt sits there on his throne and the man speaks calmly to the king.

"my lord it is imperative you seek yourself a wife. the line of O'Sullivan must be strong"

"I am aware of my duty," Dalt says hands shaking and thinks over his choices as the man paces in front of him, stops and speaks truthfully

"what bout that girl, the Nolan one-"

"Mila?"

"yes, what occurred with her?"

"she was supposed to marry crane but he had ugh he had an untimely demise-" Dalt speaks truthfully remembering her murdered king crane nd his hand jolts with memories.

the lore keeper smirks speaking with a laugh "yes, this too bad, isn't it, my lord? but perhaps a  chance for you-"

"with Mila?" Dalt sys sounding surprised and the man shrugs 

" Nolan women are strong,  Hannah Nolan once attacked this city, hot-tempered, could be a  good O'Sullivan bride."

 "no, me and her. we have history Mila would never accept."

" I hear she is holding a second ceremony of suitors perhaps going would." the lore keeper motion to is king

"I do not think that is wise lore keeper." Dalt gets up fixing his nicely placed robe as he nods to the man

"I am tired, I wish to retire for the day."

"so early, what if something occurs?"

"then it will wait to be addressed."

the lore keeper looks on worried as the young man walks off down the hall and into the room. he hears a voice and turns seeing the girl on his bed as he turns his head

"how long have you been waiting?"

The overseer turns on her side whispering "not long my lord. I am surprised you requested  me to come-"

"Why are you surprised?" he asks sounding interested and the girl turns on her side as she speaks the truth

"the other overseers assumed you'd want to pick new overseers not have Arhciblds leftovers.

"that is just more work and my cousin has good taste."

e lens over going to kiss the girl when someone knocks on the door he yells out annoyed.

"leave me lone"

"sire, we have  guest, a Galvin guest."

"Galvin, her?" Dalt says voice breaking with worry and the lore keeper on the other side of the door informs his king.

"he has a message and wishes you in the throne room at once." Dalt motions to the girl and leaves her alone as she drops her head in defeat. he walks out side by side with the lore keeper.

"Galvin's are, well, they are ill-tempered. So, respect the messenger."

Dalt steps into the throne room and the man in all white armor bows his head.

"king O'Sullivan?"

"yes," Dalt says standing still as a stone, staring the Galvin down. the messenger holds out a small crumpled paper.

"a message from Alvis Galvin"

Dalt talks eyeing the note and asks

"Why did he decide to send it in paper form? seems odd." Dalt says and  the messenger speaks

"he wanted to be sure it was only for your eyes sire."

"The wardens are meeting?" the messenger nods to the king and speaks
