I gave a chuckle, the community seemed so cute here, completely unlike the workspace at the company I worked at.

You get used to the atmosphere at my company eventually, but it does kind of suck when you realise it in the end.

Nonetheless, I didn't stall any longer, heading into the conference with his phone. I opened the door, approaching Mr Jang with his phone, he took it with a smile.

I looked at the CEO of Park Pharmaceuticals, just curious to see how fine he was. And as our eyes met, the expression on both of our faces really said everything.

Park Sunghoon.

It was the boy I had been best friends with for years, the boy who played piano songs for me, the boy who's cuts and bruises I helped, the boy who helped me sneak out of my own house for the first time in my life.

And he was sat before me, just gazing into my eyes as the two of us recognised each other immediately.

"It's an honour to meet you Mr Park, this is my secretary, Choi Eunseo." Mr Jang introduced me, I gave a slight bow, feeling a huge cloud of awkwardness heave over me.

His eyes wouldn't and couldn't cut off me, he just stared at me, as if he was astounded to see that I still even existed and wasn't just a fragment of his imagination.

"Please just call me Sunghoon, It's very nice to meet you too. This is my secretary, Min Joohyuk." He gave a small smile, intently looking at me, with the occasional glance at his files on the table and at Mr Jang.

"It feels a little disrespectful to call you Sunghoon. But anyways, I have a very good preposition I believe you'd be willing to accept." Mr Jang started, clearing his throat and reading some papers scattered on his desk.

"How long has your secretary worked for you?" Sunghoon suddenly out of nowhere, asked. My heels seemed to feel much more uncomfortable by the second, and the temperature of my body was increasing.

"..Huh? Oh? Eunseo? Ehh, I guess like, a few years now. Isn't that right Eunseo? She's a very loyal and hard-working secretary, even when she's dying with illness she still manages to come in and do the best." Mr Jang complimented me with a hell of a smile, though it kind of sounded like he was exploiting his workers from that sentence.

"Hm, and how do you like it, Eunseo?" His voice was rather low and interested, and I fucking hated every moment of this possible.

I didn't want to reply nicely as if everything is all sunshine and rainbows, but I had no choice.

"Oh, she loves it-" Mr Jang replied before I could even.

"I was asking Eunseo." Sunghoon cut him off abruptly, causing Mr Jang to clear his throat and continue looking through some papers.

He directly stared into my eyes, intrigued and leaning his chin on the palm of his hand. His gaze refused to leave my face.

"It's good." I swallowed hard, intently looking back at him with no emotion at all. I had nothing but hatred for him right now.

He was just being difficult on purpose, why couldn't he just be normal and act as if he didn't know me?

"Is that so?" He tapped his pen gently on the table, thinking hard, "What exactly do you deal with?"

I gave him a glare, which he gave a smirk to.

"Everything." I harshly told him, which caused Mr Jang to look up at me, furrowing his brows as I stood beside him.

"Everything?" Sunghoon raised a brow, the corner of his lips curving upwards into a devious smirk - he knew completely what he was doing.

"Yes, I deal with everything from meetings like these, deals and stock statistics, company reviews and customer reviews, on top of that, the CEO too. Any more questions?" I spoke passively aggressively, an annoyed smile on my face which just told him that he was irritating me.

"Seems like you're not much of a secretary, more of a CEO too." He chuckled lowly, scribbling something on a piece of paper and showing it to his secretary.

Joohyuk took the paper, nodding and heading out of the room briefly.

"Hey, Eunseo, could you go and get me drink?" Mr Jang looked up at me, inquiring. He probably saw that Minhyuk left, so he wanted to seem like he knew what he was doing as CEO.

"Yes." I gave a slight bow, but before I could leave the door, Sunghoon spoke.

"Could you get me a drink too? I'm sure you know what I like." His words made me give a displeased frown, my hand clenched on the door handle.

I turned around, flashing a bright but fake smile towards him.

"Alright." I sweetly spoke, my smile fading as he stared at me, his smirk widening and almost giving out a laugh.

I walked out of there, the heels I was wearing, killing my legs and feet altogether. On top of that, I had to deal with Sunghoon, being a purposeful asshole.

Just wait til I bring him soap in a cup.
