The Final Round: Rush to the Battle Arena!

-Nariko-
The night was calm and quiet nothing but crickets chirping and owls hooting. Naruto and I gazed upon the closed-off shutters that holding us from the upcoming match of our lives.

"Tomorrow is the match to determine who we are. Thoughts?" I asked

"Tomorrow, huh. We should head over for some ramen." Naruto offered

"Sure." I agreed

We both walked to Ichiraku Ramen and sit down on a stool with a cup of water, collecting our thoughts for the upcoming tournament. A rush of a headache came in.
"What's wrong, Sis?" Naruto look at my figure

"Oh, it's nothing ever since the last exam up against that sound ninja, Kakawami. I've been getting these migraines once in a while." I said shaking my head, why is this happening?

"So what's up?" Old man Teuchi asked us
"It's been a while since you've come in." He mentioned

"We were kind of in the hospital," Naruto said
"The hospital?"
"Don't worry. We're fine now. Never felt better. Is that right, Nariko?" Naruto said

I feel myself blanking in and out. You touch the right side of my face trying to keep myself together.
"Y-yeah. That's right. Sorry. Naruto, I have to go. You know, how it takes a walk to stretch my legs. Goodnight." I said in a hurry

You walk to my apartment and went inside. The headache won't calm down, you wobbled into the bedroom and look in the full view mirror before blacking out.

Soon after Sis left, I was eating ramen wondering if Nariko was okay.
"Is Nariko fine? She looks kind of out of it before taking off. Probably check up on her." Ayame said
"She's probably getting cold feet because of her match." I said before slurping my serving of ramen given to him by Old man Teuchi offered for the Chunin tournament.
"She's probably getting cold feat of the competition tell Nariko to come back first thing in the morning for her serving." Teuchi said

When I finished, I went back to the apartment quietly, Nariko was probably asleep. I look around and see some stuff been rearranged. I look in the bedroom to see Nariko rummaging through the drawers.
"Nariko? Is something the matter? I thought you were asleep. Let me guess, nerves keeping you up?" I questioned

"I need to fix this jacket, does this girl know anything about dressing up? Geez. I can fix that." Nariko spoke in her voice but a deeper tone. She picked up some scissors and cut the lower half of her jacket with edges jagged. She put it on viewing herself in the mirror.
"Sis? Are you okay?" I asked
Nariko fixates her different colored eyes on me.
"I mean I haven't been active since after that giant toad fiasco. But I didn't expect my abilities to go this far." Nariko said flexing her fingers
"Sis? What are you doing?" I asked
"Nothing much. Kiddo, man, I'm hungry." Nariko walks past me and waltzes in the kitchen she grabbed some ramen cup noodles and look questionable and disgusted.
"Gross. I need something more refine than this." Nariko placed back the ramen in the fridge
'Gross? But Sis love her ramen.'

Naruto observe her closely her eyes were yellow and her hair is still blond but with strands of white, she looks and sounds different.

"In the morning I need to female this place up," Nariko said she plopped down in bed sighing about how bored she is.

"It's so comfy!" Nariko exclaimed

A little later, I hear a groan from my unnatural sis, I look over to see Nariko clutching the side of her head, dizzy.
"I feel like explosions are going off in my brain," Nariko said
When she came to I had to asked if she's doing well she looked at me and quickly nods. Her once yellow eyes turn back to blue and her voice became normal. Naruto crawled in bed.

"Penny for your thoughts on the upcoming tournament?" Nariko questioned to clear the tension in the air.
"My thoughts are I'm up against Neji first round. I could avenge Hinata. How about you? You up against Shikamaru ain't you?"

"Yep. Betcha he'll forfeit." Nariko giggled

"That's Shikamaru for you." I proclaimed
"Anyway sure you're alright? When I came in you seem distracted." I said
"It's nothing. We should sleep for what's coming up." Nariko said yawning before sleeping completely

I could only hear the clock ticking away. I could not get any sleep at all. The alarm rang, I hit the button on top to shut it off.

"Too bad, I didn't get enough sleep. Stupid nerves." I groaned to myself
I think back to what Sensei said about chakra points being undetected to his Sharingan eye. Rock Lee exclaimed that Neji is probably the strongest genin ever to come out of the Hidden Leaf Village.

"Nariko, you up?" I look over at her bed, the sheets made up and you're gone. He look over to see you putting on your clothes across the room, you're once-long jacket turns into a crop top showing her stomach and her long pants turn into shorts, she looks at herself questionable.

"What's this?" Nariko asked glaring at your brother for answers
"I thought you liked a change of style so you did it yourself after I saw you last night," I explained
"Last night? Weird. I remembered I was in the bathroom, my headache won't stop. I thought I collapse in bed to calm it down. That brought me back it was like viewing things in 3rd person except I'm not holding the controls. I'll figure things out with Kakashi-sensei after the exams." Nariko mumbled

Inside the arena, the first thing you noticed was Shikamaru.
"Nariko. Where's your brother?"

"He was getting cold feet before his match so he went off to clear his mind. Don't worry he'll be here very soon." You explained
"

I won't blame him. His first match is Neji, it makes sense to be nervous." Shikamaru said, he started to observe your new look and raised a suspicious eyebrow.
"What happened to your clothes? It's the first time I see you like that."
"I thought I'd try something new." You lied Shikamaru went back to look at the instructor. You waited for Naruto and Sasuke to get here when you've noticed all the combatants here except sound ninja, Dosu.

You was standing in the arena as Naruto came in the nick of time flying erupted through and landed at your feet.

"Hey, brother just in time. I somehow knew you were about to pull a stunt like this." You said helping him to his feet
"Oh, man, what a drag," Shikamaru said
"Ah! Guys, run! You won't believe this, but there's a huge herd of stampeding bulls coming this way!" Naruto shouted
"Yeah, you're right. I don't believe it." Shikamaru said
"I'm serious. There must be a million of them coming right this way..." Naruto stopped short when he noticed a particular person isn't here.

"Hey, wait, Where's Sasuke?" Naruto asked to look at the competitors

"Dosu is up against Temari and Nariko but he's missing too," Shikamaru said
"Hey, knock it off. Quit your fidgeting, you three. Stand up straight and present yourself proudly to the spectators."

"Huh? Oh..." Naruto looked up and realized the whole village came to watch us compete, the crowds' cheers roared throughout the arena

"You guys are the heroes of this final competition."
