Niki froze.
Julian actually scolded her for Natalie? She couldn’t believe it. “Brother Julian…” Before she could finish her
sentence, Julian interrupted her.
He walked toward the large floor-to-ceiling window and looked down at the bustling streets below. During
rush hour, the city was crowded with traffic. The roads were packed, with multiple lanes almost turning into a
sea of vehicles, slowly inching forward step by step.
Julian gazed at the flickering lights and the dazzling splendor of the bustling coastal city. He sighed and
spoke slowly, “Why can’t Natalie be Dr. Nancy’s assistant?”
“I didn’t say she couldn’t be…” Niki learned her lesson this time, knowing how to speak to avoid angering
Julian too much.
“I just can’t believe that Natalie, who didn’t graduate from a prestigious university or study pharmacy, could
possibly be Dr. Nancy’s assistant.”
“If she were an assistant to some other doctor, it might be slightly more plausible, but we’re talking about Dr.
Nancy here. Many people would kill for that position, even numerous pharmaceutical experts who are eagerly
competing for it. How could Natalie be the one…?”
Julian remained silent.
“Moreover, if she is indeed Dr. Nancy’s assistant, then she must already be an employee of Glory Group. Corporation. But the other day, she begged me, saying that she wanted to join Glory Group and asked me to
help her get in…” Niki’s doubts about Natalie grew stronger as she spoke.
Julian furrowed his brows.
“So, you’re saying that Natalie pleaded with you to help her get into Glory Group? Wasn’t that the same time when you brought a group of bodyguards to confront Natalie?”
Niki’s eyes widened instantly, and she even stumbled back a little, clearly taken aback.
How could Julian know? Did Natalie complain to him??
“Brother Julian… you’ve misunderstood. I didn’t go to confront her, I just had something to discuss with her,”
Niki desperately searched for reasons in her mind.
“Discuss something…? What was it?” Julian looked at her coldly.
Niki’s current expression reminded him of the incident where Philip rejected her in front of the entire the Graham family.

“Weren’t you the one who asked me to find the person competing with the Graham family for medicinal
herbs?… So, Niki asked a few people along the way, and they all pointed to a small building by the roadside.”
