He looked at her with confusion.
"Why?"
"I can't do this..."
"Do what?"
"Marry you Colin. I don't want that..."
He was taken aback. He sat at the other wall in complete agony. Then, he placed the ring in his pocket. "I don't understand..."
"I don't want to be married-"
"But you said..."
"Not in this way. I want it proper...real..."
"You think this isn't real?"
Standing up, he was now incredibly angry and not hiding it. "Our lives are not some script you read once a week and act the parts. There are no special effects, this is real. My love was real...that ring was real. The promise behind it was also. I thought that was what you wanted..."
"I still want to be with you...It's just...early..."
He looked down. "I don't think I can do that right now..." He said walking in the office-slamming the door. Leaving Jennifer in tears.
