Sometimes things happen and there's nothing you can do about it. You feel powerless. You feel alone. You feel lost. But sometimes...all you need is that one person to find you again.
Staying with your sister for a vacation had been just what you needed. It didn't solve or erase your problem, but it made you feel better. Her friends had become your friends and each of them had fun things to talk about and do.
You'd also spent some time with Markus. Being the only cyborg, you were becoming more and more important. Today, Markus had invited you to a TV broadcasted interview he'd been scheduled for. You hadn't been sure about that kind of publicity with everything you were dealing with, but your sister had told you that it could be fun and it would really help out Markus and his android causes. Having no other reason to stay at New Jericho, you agreed to go.
Cass was helping you get dressed. North was currently with Markus, probably lecturing him out the dangers of it and telling him to chose his words carefully, as usual. She could be really paranoid sometimes, but Markus didn't mind and, as long as it wasn't obsessive, nobody else did either.
"I still don't understand why you think this is a good idea." You sighed as your sister helped you with your hair.
"It'll be fine, (Y/n). Besides, Markus will be there to help you if you need it. It's just a little interview."
"Yeah, and that means they're going to ask questions. I don't know if I'm going to be comfortable with all of them."
"Then tell them you prefer not to answer."
"But-"
"It'll be okay. I promise. Now, hold still. I'm almost done."

Cass gave you a bracelet and some earrings. You looked at them. "Why do I need these?" You asked.
"Well, they were actually Mom's. I have something different of hers so...I wanted you to have it." You looked at them and smiled, putting them on.
"Thanks, Cass." You told her. Soon enough, Markus came in.
"Ready, (Y/n)?" He asked. You nodded. You went with him and you were surprised when there was a car waiting for you both with a driver ready to go. You got in with Markus and tried to calm your nerves. The car began to move and you looked out the window as you were taken away. Markus noticed your unease. "You alright?" You turned.
"Um, yeah, sorry. I've...never really done anything like this before. I'm...just a cop." You admitted with a sheepish smile.
"You're also the only cyborg in existance. It'll be fine. I'll be there with you and I'm sure you'll do great." You gave him a thankful smile.
"Yeah, I guess I'm getting too worked up." You chuckled lightly.
You arrived at your destination soon enough. Markus led the way in with you close behind. People were instantly around him, talking to him and telling him everything he needed to know as they began to guide him to the set.
