Chapter 44: Save Or Kiss

My muscles hurt and my stomach was grumbling but at least the office was looking like an office. I kept cleaning I wanted to find the awful smell, I was growing sick of it. I organized the papers on the shelf and that's when the smell got worse. I lifted a bag of the floor and I dropped it back down immediately. I covered my nose. There was a dead rat.

I was gonna be sick.

I grabbed gloves and placed it inside a box and tied it up.

Then I heard a knock.

Now who?

I opened the door.

Liam.

" Scarlett! " Liam said.

" What? " I asked annoyed.

He held out to me a coffee, a sandwich and an apple.

" I'm not hun.."

Grumble!

Stomach!!! How could you betray me?

Liam smiled a bit.

I sighed in defeat and opened the door, wider.

Liam came in sat down and looked around.

" Wow you're almost done!" He said.

I looked around.

"I still needed to clean the bathroom, it smelled horrible."

He looked at me with sadness.

" You should eat, it's not healthy to not eat!" Liam said.

I took the sandwich and started eating.

So good.

" Nathaniel is worried! "

I looked at Liam.

" Is he!?" I asked amused. Liam was such a good friend and liar.

Liam nodded.

" So the sandwich was your idea or his?" I asked.

"That was mine!" He whispered.

I smiled.

" Thank you! " I said and continued eating.

I saw Liam stand up.

" I gotta go, enjoy your sandwich."

Soon an idea popped into my head.

"Wait I got something for Nathaniel." I hurried to get the tied up box.

I turned to give it to Liam, he took it.

"Don't open it!" I said.

He nodded with curiosity.

I opened the door for him.

" Don't open it!" I warned.

" I promise I won't." Liam said.

I smiled and closed the door after him.

After a few minutes I began eating. This tasted so good.

I sipped my coffee. Mmmm.

I bit my apple and thats when I heard a piercing scream.

I started laughing.

I started sipping my coffee again.

I looked at my phone 3:23pm.

After a few minutes my door flied open.

Nathaniel stood there looking at me in anger.
