Ms Janet was rambling on the poems we had to write for drama class. Did I mention second semester started?

Well it did.

My first period is Drama with Ms Janet. Sadly, no more Mr Hope. He's honestly my favorite teacher in Centennial High.

Second period is fitness with Ms Sway.

Third is Math, with Mr Ruth. Dreadful, I know. I've always hated math for some reason.

Instead of focusing on my poem, all I could think about was Bryson.

Why wasn't he at school?

I kept telling myself nothing was wrong. He wasn't in my first period class, so he might be here second period.

He facetimed me last night, and he looked perfectly fine. Something in my gut told me I didn't know something.

He even showed up yesterday with the guys to say goodbye to my fam as they all left in the afternoon for there flights.

👑Flashback👑

“Jummah don't cry” I said patting her back while I was hugging her.

“I can't help it” she sniffed.

“I'll see you soon okay?”

“Okay, I'll see you soon Inshallah (in God's will) Madina” she smiled weakly.

She went into the car with her family, and looked at me through the car window.

“Bye Madina” I heard Hannah's broken voice.

I held onto her and kissed her cheek.

“I'll miss you cuzzo” I smiled.

She smiled “I'll miss you too baby cousin”

“I'm older than you” I said crossing my arms.

She got into the car. “I know” she winked.

“Bye my cutest cousin of them all” Shabana said hugging me.

I wrapped my arms around her.

“I thought I was the cutest of them all? You lied!” Masoud said.

Shabana let go of our hug.

“I only say that to make her feel better” Shabana said kissing his cheek.

“Okay, good” he smiled.

I giggled “Bye, bye chef Shab”

She twirled and held her luggage “Byeee!” she waved.

That just left Yaz and I in an awkward silence.

“I don't want to say goodbye” Yaz said looking at down at her shoes.

I took a step towards her.

“Then let's not say goodbye” I said putting my hand on her shoulder.

“What?” she asked confused.

“I'm gonna see my best friend again. So I don't need to say goodbye. How about, see you soon?” I asked.
