I ran across the beach as fast as my legs could bare.

A date?

I brought up the idea like the idiot I was.

But the thing is, this wasn't just a date. Bryson agreed to no out of bounds things. He told me he respected the idea of just going out to eat.

So maybe it wasn't a date.

So what was it then?

… a friendly hangout?

Yeah, sounds just about right.

I ran across the living the room and up the stairs.

“You're home already?” Momma yelled from downstairs.

“Yup!” I said from the top of the stairs.

I walked right into my room and shut the door. My head rested again my door as I let my beating heart race.

I turned around and shrieked when I saw Majeed.

“What are you doing in my room?” I asked, resting my hands on my hips.

This idiot just grinned as he was laid across my bed, eating popcorn and staring at my TV.

“I'm watching a movie, isn't it obvious?”

“No shit!” I cursed throwing my pillow at him. “Why my room?” I questioned.

“Because Boba’s using the downstairs TV. My TV is broken, and Masoud says he's reading and doesn't want me to use his TV,” Majeed shrugged.

I groaned. “That sounds like a you problem, not a me problem.”

“Shh, this is the good part.” Majeed hushed me.

“Excuse me!” I yelled.

“You're excused,” he said, waving me off. “Close the door behind you.”

I rolled my eyes. “That's it.”

I walked towards the TV and shut it off.

“Heyy!" he groaned.

I ignored him and grabbed the popcorn off of his lap. Then, I grabbed his ear and forced him to get up.

“Get out, Majeed!”

“Okay, jeez woman, you could've asked nicely.” he grinned, getting up.

“Out!” I said pointing to the door.

“Alright, dewana (crazy).”

I turned around and saw him leaning on my door.

“What are you still doing here?” I asked.

“Where are you going?” he asked crossing his arms.

“Out.”

“Out where?”

“Damn, I didn't know I had two fathers in my life.” I smiled tightly.

“Just answer the question.”
